What Is Transcervical Insemination (TCI)?
Transcervical Insemination (TCI) is a highly effective breeding technique where semen is passed through the cervix and deposited directly into the uterus.
Using a video endoscope, we can visualise the cervix and guide a specialised catheter into the uterus, allowing accurate semen placement.
Benefits of TCI

- Minimally invasive
- More effective than vaginal insemination, as sperm bypasses the cervix
- Faster recovery and reduced stress for the bitch
The procedure is performed with the bitch standing, without sedation, in a calm and relaxed environment. It is painless, well-tolerated, and typically takes around 30 minutes.
Why is ovulation timing important for breeding?
Accurate ovulation timing is critical for breeding success. We recommend a series of progesterone tests using our in-house analyser to ensure precise timing for mating or insemination, maximising the chances of a successful pregnancy.
Can you help with frozen semen import and export?
Yes. We assist with both the importation and exportation of frozen semen, enabling breeders to access high-quality genetics locally and internationally.
